As soon as a person realizes they need to recover important information that was deleted from a cell phone the first thing they would naturally do is turn to the Internet. That means you will have to contact the telephone carrier and obtain the IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identification) and the ICCID (International Circuit Card Identifier in order to clone your SIM and get the phone working again.
If you really need to recover deleted data from a cellular phone what you really want to do is submit the device to a professional forensic data recovery process. If you do, the evidence can be used in court and the phone will be returned to you undamaged and unaltered.

If you are serious about recovering this data and you can't afford to make any mistakes and possibly destroy all your data you must do the smart thing and avoid SIM card readers at all costs. It is simply not worth wasting your time and money while possibly destroying your data.
